As the Director of Lifespan Religious Education at Cedar Lane I support and collaborate with staff and members of the congregation who enrich the spiritual lives of all members of our community by teaching and facilitating wide variety of courses.
With plans to be ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister within the year, engaging people of all ages to reflect and explore the purpose and practice of their faith is my ministerial call. At Cedar Lane my tools of engagement are education and worship. Here, I work closely with members of the Religious Education Ministry Team as we organize the classes and events offered for children and adolescent members of our community as well as with the Adult Programming Ministry Team who oversee offering for young adult, adult, and senior members of our congregation.
I also lead Chapel services almost every Sunday during the regular church year for children, and participate in our regular worship services monthly.
I completed my Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School and am a proud alum of Smith College. Before pursuing ministry I taught and coached at boarding school and for over a decade worked on organic vegetable and animal farms. It’s a tie between farming and ministry as to what I feel most passionate about in life. As a native of the state of Maine, the countryside and the ocean are where I feel most at home and I hope to return north someday to settle down. In the meantime I am enjoying exploring this region with my greyhound, Smokey Jo, and my partner, Alexis, who lives in Cambridge, MA, who comes down to visit often.
