On December 10, 2018 Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church welcomed into sanctuary a Salvadoran mother facing imminent deportation. Over the summer, her three children joined her and are now living here full-time. She continues to fight to have her case heard and has become a leader in the movement for immigrant rights. As a congregation, we are living our faith and resisting the unjust and family-fracturing immigration policies of our government.

We are, as a nation, as a community, bending the arc of the universe closer to justice with every rally, protest, march, and vigil. This moment seems to have happened overnight, and, the truth is, it has taken years of grassroots work, coalition building, and infrastructure creation to get to where we are right now.
