Why should I take the survey?
If you’re new to Cedar Lane, it will open up opportunities to meet like-minded members, to put your passions to work on the issues you care about. If you’ve been at Cedar Lane for a while, even a long while, it’s a chance to try something new -- to meet people beyond your usual circle of friends. It’s a way to serve our beloved congregation.

How can I find out about volunteer opportunities that fit my interests?
Ministry team leaders and staff will continuously post numerous projects that need help. You can view them on CedarLinked any time and step forward if one interests you.

If I’m contacted by a ministry team leader or staff member who needs help with a project, will I be pressured to accept?
We hope that the info you provide in the CedarLinked survey will enable a good match that will work for you. If you receive a request that won’t work for you, just pass on it. No obligation.

If I need help to get into CedarLinked, who do I turn to?
On Sundays from Nov 12 through Dec 11, after each service there will be volunteer CedarLinked helpers in the Library or the Brides Room (Quilters Room) just off the Lounge. They can help you complete the survey. You can also call or send an email to staff member Lucy Dubinsky (301-493-8300 x210 or ldubinsky@cedarlane.org) or send an email to cedarlinked@cedarlane.org to request help.

The information in my profile is incomplete or inaccurate. How do I correct it?
Just click on the CedarLinked button on the front page of www.cedarlane.org, then click on the appropriate link to sign in. Go to the Home button on the left near the top of the page, click on “My Profile” and edit your information. Don’t forget to save it!

Will I receive lots more email and requests if I complete the survey?
After the last few weeks of this election season, this is a natural thought. But, no, you’ll not be pestered with numerous requests. You’ll only be contacted with opportunities that match your preferences.

How safe is CedarLinked? Who has access to my information?
