Music for viola, horn and piano by Black and female composers in honor of both Black History and Women's History Months!

Robin Fay Massie is a professional violist in the Baltimore/DC area.  She completed her education in Viola Performance at The University of Maryland, New England Conservatory of Music and The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. 

Ms. Massie has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, as Assistant Principal Viola with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and is Principal Viola with the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra.  She has worked with notable artists such as Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, among others.  Recent showings include The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with Eminem at the 2018 Firefly Music Festival, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and with Mac Miller on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Series.  

Robin Fay Massie’s performance will include works by Ahmed Alabaca, George Walker, Rebecca Clarke and Elaine Fine with collaborations from pianists Topher Ruggiero and Maria Thompson Corley and hornist Joseph Lovinsky.   A delightful afternoon from some of the area’s finest musicians!
