- Board of Trustees
Summary of the November 14, 2017 Board of Trustees Meeting
In our November meeting, the Board continued to act on decisions that came from the October 29 meeting where the congregation voted to conduct a capital campaign and endorse the Covenant of Right Relations.
Capital Campaign Preparation Underway
Many steps are already underway to prepare our capital campaign for an official kick-off in March. The Board unanimously approved Regina Dull and Don Bliss as Co-Chairs of the Capital Campaign Steering Committee. Mel Kalagian of Klote & Associates will be working with Cedar Lane as we roll out the capital campaign. Mel provided a full overview of the work ahead to conduct a successful campaign.
In the coming months, Cedar Lane members and friends will be visited to ensure that we are all fully apprised of the campaign purpose, process, and the vision for how it supports the future of our church. Board members are always open to a conversation about the capital campaign. Mel can also often be found in his temporary office in Room 7 if you’d like to chat with him.
Covenant of Right Relations
We unanimously agreed to create a task force to guide the implementation of the Covenant of Right Relations. Once policies and process are determined, the task force will disband, and implementation of the covenant will rest with a Right Relations Team.
The next meeting will be held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, December 12, one week earlier than the usual third Tuesday of the month. Board meetings are open to all Cedar Lane members. To request time on the agenda or learn more about a current topic of Board discussion, email Board President Jim Anderson at email@example.com or leave him a note in the church office.
