I was hired in May of 2014 to "do just one thing." That one thing was to coordinate and design the Adult Programs Brochure for the fall slate of classes. After completing that job, I was hired on to assist the then Religious Education Administrator, Gale Luce, for a few hours a week. In October of 2015, Gale retired, and I am now the Lifespan Religious Education Administrator. This means that I work with the Director of Lifespan Religious Education, as well as with the Religious Education Ministry Team and the Adult Programs Ministry Team to help administer the Children's, Youth and Adult Religious Education programs and classes that we offer at Cedar Lane.
In addition to being a staff member, I am also a member of the church. My husband, Joe, and I joined the church and our two wonderful children, Alex and Will, were dedicated in 2011. Being a member and having my own children in the Religious Education programs lends a different level of love for my job. In addition to the opportunity to work with such a great staff and wonderful ministers, I am able to see the full impact of my work on my own and many other families.
