DESCRIPTION:Student Spotlight Salon – Kalanidhi Dance School\nJoin us for an evening of Kuchipudi\, one of India’s classical dance traditions\, presented by students of the Kalanidhi Dance School. This special performance celebrates dedication\, learning\, and the joy of dance through vibrant storytelling and movement. All are welcome. \nFeatured Artists\nKrishna Chandra is a Business Administration major at Towson University who took his first Kuchipudi class in 2008 while living in California. Since then\, this graceful and vibrant art form has become an integral part of his life. After a chance move to Maryland\, he found his home at Kalanidhi Dance\, drawn to its dedication to preserving Kuchipudi and its inspiring instructors. For the past two years\, he has been motivated by the passionate\, hardworking dancers around him. \n“I look forward to where my dance journey will take me next and feel grateful to grow within the Kalanidhi community.” – Krishna Chandra \nSiri Tanjore is a freshman at Chantilly High School\, where she plays on the varsity volleyball team and maintains strong academics. She began dancing with Kalanidhi at the age of seven and has since performed at local events such as the National Cherry Blossom Festival\, Kalanidhi Company productions\, and at venues across Washington D.C.\, New Jersey\, and New York. A determined and passionate dancer\, Siri balances intensive training with the Virginia Juniors Volleyball Club while staying deeply connected to Kuchipudi. \n“I love to dance because it’s when I feel the most peaceful and free\, escaping stress and expressing myself through fluid\, graceful movement that keeps me rooted in my culture.” – Siri Tanjore \nAnagha Mantravadi is a bright\, cheerful\, and enthusiastic 8th grader at Farmwell Middle School in Virginia with a deep love for dance. What began as a childhood activity at the age of five has become something she truly enjoys and looks forward to every day. Under the guidance of Lavanya Thamire\, Anagha hones her skills with focus and respect\, putting her heart into every practice. \n“Dance makes me feel joyful\, focused\, and connected to myself\, and I’m grateful for the chance to keep growing and expressing myself through Kuchipudi.” – Anagha Mantravadi \n\n	\n		\n			\n				\n					Learn More
