Architectural Tour of Cedar Lane

Join us for an architectural tour highlighting the past, present, and future of mid-century modern design at Cedar Lane in partnership with Docomomo.

This year’s theme, “Places of Worship,” offers a chance to explore Cedar Lane’s iconic architectural style while highlighting our recent renovation. Join us for a two-hour guided tour led by member and renovation task force co-chair Mary Means, alongside local planner and preservationist Gwen Wright.

Mary Means: Author of “Main Street’s Comeback and How it Can Come Back Again” and best known for leading the team that created the National Main Street Center, now known as Main Street America. Her work was honored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation with the 2020 Crowninshield Award.

Gwen Wright: Former Director of the Montgomery County Planning Department of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Gwen is a planner and preservationist currently serving on the Washington D.C. Zoning Commission as a Mayoral appointee.

Light appetizers and drinks provided. All are welcome!
