The past comes alive through the inventive character pieces of Tobias Hume, poignant laments of Henry Purcell and the virtuosic instrumental music of Marin Marais and Georg Philipp Telemann–music that enchanted European courts and salons, performed by Jessica Powell Eig and Amy Domingues on viola da gamba and guests Michael Holmes (recorder) and Bozena Jedrzejczak-Brown (harpsichord), all talented artists dedicated to this timeless repertoire.
