UU the Vote: Postcards to North Carolina

August 21, 2020

If you would like to UU the Vote, please write postcards to help register people in North Carolina who may have been purged from voter rolls in this critical national election.

In July, members and friends of the Cedar Lane Environmental Justice Ministry wrote 500 postcards to Latinx voters in Texas, and we want to expand this project to the whole congregation. We plan to write postcards to 2000 people in North Carolina in August and September, letting them know that they may have been taken off the voter rolls.

Members of all ages and all committees in Cedar Lane are encouraged to participate to ensure that people are registered to vote.

Let Nanci Wilkinson or Molly Hauck know if you would like to participate and give us your address, and they will drop off stamped postcards at your house or at an agreed upon location. Contact Nanci or Molly to indicate your interest or ask your questions about this initiative: nanciwilkinson@gmail.com or mollyphauck@gmail.com.

Cedar Lane is working with UUSJ on this initiative.
