Cultivate Creativity, Compassion, and Community
A thoughtfully curated arts-based summer camp experience at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Congregation
Space is limited.
This summer, offer your child more than just entertainment—give them an enriching, heart-opening experience that nurtures both creative expression and ethical awareness. At Cedar Lane, our Arts-Based Summer Camp provides a vibrant, inclusive setting where children ages 6 to 12 are invited to explore their creativity while building meaningful connections rooted in empathy, self-discovery, and community.
Thoughtfully designed by experienced educators, artists, and spiritual leaders, our one-week, half-day camp weaves together the arts, nature, and Unitarian Universalist values to create a rich, holistic experience. Campers engage daily in hands-on activities such as collaborative murals, improvisational theater, global music, storytelling, and movement—all within a nurturing and socially conscious environment.
What Sets Our Camp Apart
-
Each day invites campers to dive into a different creative modality, fostering curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. Whether sculpting with natural materials, performing original skits, or learning rhythms from global cultures, your child will explore the joy of artistic expression in a setting that encourages imagination over instruction and process over product.
-
Rooted in the progressive spiritual tradition of Unitarian Universalism, our camp gently introduces children to timeless principles such as compassion, justice, respect for diversity, and care for the planet. These values are interwoven into our curriculum in accessible, developmentally appropriate ways—through stories, collaborative projects, and conversations that matter.
-
We cultivate a community where every child is seen, heard, and celebrated. Whether your family is spiritual, secular, or seeking an inclusive ethical foundation, our camp offers a welcoming space grounded in respect, open-mindedness, and belonging.
-
Our half-day format offers the perfect balance of enrichment and flexibility—ideal for families who value quality engagement without the overwhelm of a full-time commitment. Each day includes a blend of guided activities, reflective free play, and mindful transitions.
