As a standing committee of the Board of Trustees, the Endowment Committee is responsible for all matters pertaining to the management and administration of the Cedar Lane Endowment Fund. Responsibilities include: (a) stewardship and investment of assets; (b) maintenance of appropriate records; (c) provision of financial information and advice to the Board; and (d) designating funds for annual use by the congregation. The committee is also responsible for the investment of other funds that the Board has placed in the committee’s investment pool. The committee’s responsibilities with respect to such other funds shall be limited to stewardship, investment, and value tracking. 

Engagement Opportunities

Membership qualifications (from the Committee’s charter): A working knowledge of publicly traded stocks, bonds, and mutual funds is required. When considering 

candidates, the members shall consider the applicant’s skills, availability, commitment to Cedar Lane, and the diversity of the membership. All committee members must be members or pledging friends of Cedar Lane in good standing. 

The Committee generally seeks new members to begin in the Fall. If you might be interested in becoming a committee member, assisting with particular projects or if you have questions, contact us.
