The Caring Ministry Team (CMT) helps our ministers communicate with and support members who are experiencing loss, grief, or difficult life changes. The CMT is available for visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and to members’ homes along with telephone contacts to address isolation. The team also connects members to various resources and services to address their needs.

Team members bring their individual talents and skills to the team as well as compassion and empathy. Team members develop the ability to engage in active listening, learn about community resources, and acquire skills to meet an assortment of needs.

Members meet monthly and devote time to trainings that deal with a variety of situations such as dealing with loss, managing life changes, and supporting caregivers, aging issues, and self-care.

Team members submit items to eNews for Joys and Sorrows and serve in-person at each worship service as resources for our congregation. Rotating team members monitor and respond to a 24-hour phone line for pastoral care calls.
